a marine private, arrived on the Sirius and was attached to Captain Campbell's company. In November 1788 he was admitted to hospital after a fight with James Baker and three other marines. Surgeon Considen examined him and found him stupefied and in a shocking and bruised condition. He died later and the marines who assaulted him were convicted of manslaughter and punished with 200 lashes each.
