a marine sergeant, embarked on the Prince of Wales and on 14 July 1787, at sea, was
confined for being drunk, accidentally injuring Mrs Jane Scott, and other abuses. In August
he was transferred to the Alexander. He was reduced to private by a court-martial in
January 1788, but by April he had been reinstated and attached to Captain Shea's company.
He later transferred to the NSW Corps. Copyright
